According to the size chart I am a different size than I am used to wearing. Why is that?
Dresses are sized differently than regular clothing so the best size for you might not be the one you’re used to wearing. We recommend that you choose your size based on your measurements and the dress’ size chart.
What is Runway.Rent?
At Runway.Rent, we provide a unique fashion experience that allows you to rent
dresses for all of life’s special occasions. Whether it is something chic for a night out, an elegant gown for a formal event, or a beautiful dress for a friend’s wedding. At Runway.Rent, you can rent dresses at a fraction of their original retail price. Simply rent a dress, rock the house in it, and return it. Easy!
Why should I rent?
Since the entire process is online, everyone saves precious time because you no longer have to make multiple trips to boutiques to find the perfect dress; or to tailors for alterations (even though we all know you’ll only wear it once). Runway.Rent saves you time, money and (a bit of) stress, stylishly.

Size & Fit
How do I know what size to order?
To determine your size for a particular dress we recommend that you have your bust, waist and hips measurements taken and compare them to the measurements found on the size chart for that dress. Sizing varies, so be sure to consult the chart for the dress you are interested in. We recommend choosing the size that comfortably fits all of your measurements.
How do I determine my measurements?
We recommend having your measurements taken by a professional tailor or seamstress or having someone help you take them. Measurements should be taken in the undergarments you plan to wear under your dress. Make sure to keep the measuring tape comfortably loose, like you’d want your dress to fit.
Bust Measurement – Standing up straight, with your arms at your side, measure the fullest part of your chest and around your back..
Waist Measurement – Measure the narrowest part of your torso or where your waist creases when you bend to the side.
Hips – Standing up straight, measure around the fullest part of your hips.
What do I do if my dress is too long for me?
We try to cater for ladies of all heights, so each gown is a slightly different length. Before you order, you can check the dress length on each product page. We ask that you don’t attempt to alter any of our delicate dresses. If you are worried about the length of your dress, simply contact our friendly Customer Service Team for assistance.
Can you alter the dress for me?
No, we do not make alterations to the dresses as we aim to preserve the dress in as original its state as possible. However, we do offer to make simple alterations to the dress to comfortably fit all of your measurements, depending on whether these alterations may be made to the dress without causing any damage.
If the dress doesn't meet my expectations, can I ask for a refund?
Renting with Runway.Rent is 100% safe. If the dress is not the right size, please contact us via email email@example.com, on your delivery day and we will give you the chance to replace your request or receive a refund of the rental fee.
When you receive your dress and decide that your size or model is not the right one, we can ship you another available style in the next 24 hours or you can choose to be refunded. For a valid exchange/refund, please make sure you contact us by 3pm on the delivery day.
Are all the online dresses new?
All our dresses are either brand new or in near-new condition.
Can I order a dress 24 hours before my event?
If you have a last-minute event and need a dress, contact us via email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our Style Assistant team may have a solution for you.
Ordering and Payment
How does Runway.Rent work?
First, browse through our collection of dresses to find the dress you love. Then pick your size and the delivery date from the booking calendar available on each product page, and select “Reserve Now”. Then go through check-out to place your order.
How much does it cost to rent a dress online from Runway.Rent?
Our prices are very competitive – and comes to about 10-15% of the retail price. We make the dress of your dreams affordable, not to mention eliminating the need for expensive alterations and multiple trips to a boutique or store. See individual dresses for rental fees.
How long can I rent a dress from Runway.Rent?
You can make a reservation for 4 or 8 days. Simply select your preferred rental
period and then your ‘delivery date’ when you’re making a booking. We’ll deliver
your dress to you just before the first day of your rental period (‘Delivery Date’). After your experience, we pick up the dress at the same address. Return, dry cleaning and minor repairs, are free from any costs.
I would like to extend my rental. How much will that cost me?
If you wish to extend rental, we charge a daily fee prorated against the total rental fee of your dress. For instance, if a dress costs $120 to rent for our standard 4 day term, the extended rental fee will be $35 per day.
How long should I order my dress before my scheduled event?
We are here to help whether you’re a planner or procrastinator. We recommend reserving your dress as soon as possible to ensure the dress you want is available. Set your delivery date 1 – 2 days before your event to avoid any last-minute panics and to make sure everything’s perfect. Once your dress is reserved, we will send you a confirmation email.
Remember, you can book your dress up to 6 months in advance.
How can I make changes to my order?
To make any adjustments to your order please contact us. As long as the order is not ready for shipment, we will change whatever you need.
How do I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order by contacting us. Your refund will be given in the form of credits for your future orders with us.
Kindly note the full amount of credits will only be refunded if the cancellation is done 3 days before the stipulated rental period.
What happens when I cancel my order? Will I be refunded?
There will be no refund upon cancellation. However, you will be able to receive a coupon in the form of credits, which would be of the same value as the booking you have made. This is subject to the situation at hand.
Kindly note that the code has no expiry date and is limited to one time usage.
What payment method does Runway.Rent accept for renting dresses?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
When will my card be charged?
Your credit card is charged as soon as we receive your order and confirm the
availability of your requested dress. We may also charge your card for late fees if
you haven’t returned the garment back by the due date. A notification for this
charge will be sent to you by SMS or email.
Why was my credit card declined?
We accept standard MasterCard, Visa, and American Express credit and debit cards for all of our payments. However, we use a third party billing system and do not have the power to override which cards are marked as accepted and which are not. If your card is a pre-paid debit card or a gift card, we cannot accept it for recurring payments. We request that you use another card if possible.
Can I purchase a dress?
At this time, we only offer our dresses for rental. Stay up to date with our newsletter about the latest news and promotions.
How long will it take for my dress to be delivered?
The estimated standard delivery time is 1-2 business days – depending on your location & the time you place your order. Orders will dispatch it the next working day. If you place an order on a weekend or public holiday, then the order will be processed during business hours on the next business day.
If you placed the order 2 days or lesser before the rental period, then you would be required to do self collection at our shop.
What happens if my dress doesn’t arrive within the specified delivery time?
In the rare case that your dress doesn’t arrive within the specified delivery time, please contact our friendly Customer Service Team.
Do you deliver on weekends?
We don’t currently deliver on weekends. Although we’d love to, our couriers only
operate on business days.
Can you deliver to another address?
We ship to the address of your choice, provided at the reservation. If it´s a hotel or similar addresses, please make sure the responsible is expecting your delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we only ship orders within Singapore.
What is the condition of the dress when I receive it?
We have very strict quality control measures. All our dresses are dry-cleaned, pampered and preened after every use, so your dress will arrive in excellent condition.
Does the dress arrive wrinkle-free?
We do our best to ensure that every dress arrives wrinkle-free. After being steamed and pressed, all dresses are wrapped in a garment cover before being delivered. Certain fabrics are more prone to wrinkles though, and if you receive a dress with slight creases, please try steaming the garment on low heat. Alternatively, you can hang the dress in a steamy bathroom and the steam will de-crease it. However, please ensure to hang the dress where it can’t accidentally get splashed. Note: please do not iron the dress as this may cause damage.
How do I return my order?
After your experience, we pick up the dress at the same address provided. Follow these 3 steps:
1. Place the dress in the garment bag.
2. Replace the dress in the original delivery box.
3. Our courier will pick up the package.
Return and dry cleaning are free from any costs.
What if my rental ends on a Sunday or holiday?
The order will be picked up at the following weekday.
Are there late fees if I return the dress late?
We send our customers a friendly reminder SMS on the return date to ensure they don’t miss their return dates – so it’s very rare that ladies send their dresses back late. However, if you do happen to miss your return date and send your dress back late, then a late fee of $50/day applies.
What if I accidentally stain or damage the dress?
We understand that some wear and tear may be inevitable, if the item is damaged
beyond repair, the fee is the retail price of the item. If the item is never returned, the fee is double the retail price of the item. Retail price of the dress is 5 times that of the rental price.
What if the dress is missing?
Once you have signed off on the receipt for the registered post, the dress is in your care and responsibility. You will be charged the retail price of the dress if it is lost during this period. The responsibility for the dress passes back to the dispatch or courier service upon return of the dress during pick-up.
Do I need to dry clean my dress before I send it back?
Nope! We take care of all dry cleaning. You just receive it, wear it, enjoy it and send it back.
